Sustaining Resilience for Line Managers
Length of Workshop: 2 hours
Number of Participants: 20
Personal Resilience is now recognised as a combination of essential qualities and skills that individuals develop to cope with the pressures, challenges and adversities of life. It has also become increasingly important in the endlessly turbulent context of today’s working world, where the resilience of individuals, teams, and the organisation has become paramount to long-term success.
Surveys of the UK workforce indicate that too many individuals are regularly drifting off track to the point where they are exhausted, emotionally drained, and struggling to cope for some time. It does not take much to get back on track if we can identify the signs early enough. Then, by putting in place just a few effective strategies to protect us from stress, we can improve our physical and mental energy, increasing our wellbeing and performance.
In the workshop we will cover the fundamentals of personal and team resilience qualities. Resilience qualities are those attitudes, beliefs, behaviours, and skills that you can develop which will enable you not just to survive in the face of challenges, pressures or adversity, but thrive. We’ll also look at:
- Identifying the hotspots - recognising the realities of work-life demands and how these pressures can send us off track.
- Protecting Physiology - review the fundamentals for strengthening wellbeing and resilience.
- Taking Control of Time & Technology - we explore ways you can reduce the overload created through being driven by constant energy draining inputs, and focus on prioritising to achieve your key outputs.
- Growth Mind - considering how your attitudes and beliefs can shape your thinking and behaviours, and using them to increase your resilience and ability to learn from setbacks.
