How regularly do I need to complete a health check with Wellness Optimiser?

Wellness Optimiser is designed to encourage you to know and understand your health. All readings that are taken in health checks are valid for two plan years. Each year, 30 days before your anniversary, the best valid health check results for each of the 4 tests (Body Mass Index, Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose and Cholesterol) will be used to assign you a Wellness status. This will then be used, alongside your Vitality status to determine your annual premium adjustment.

We encourage you to complete a health check every two years (up until age 80).

However, if you have type 2 diabetes your health check results will only be valid for 1 year. Additionally we will ask you to provide us with your HbA1c reading each year. Therefore we encourage you to complete a health check every year.

Is there a limit to the number of health checks I can have?
Yes. You will be entitled to two discounted screening events per plan year.
