Supporting child nutrition
We’ve teamed up with Unicef, the world’s leading children’s organisation, to provide live-saving food to malnourished children in southern and eastern Africa. All while saving you up to 25% on healthy food at Ocado.
What we’ll contribute
When you link your Ocado account to Vitality and place your first order, we’ll donate one day’s worth of nutrition to Unicef’s east and southern Africa appeal. One day’s worth of nutrition means three packs of life-saving food for a severely malnourished child.
Where the donation goes
Your healthy food shop with Ocado will contribute to Unicef’s work for children in southern and eastern Africa. Currently that means helping more than 26 million children in danger from a devastating water and food shortage in the region. Without enough clean water and food, children’s lives are in extreme danger.
Unicef provides 80% of the world’s life-saving food for malnourished children. A single pack of this high energy, micronutrient enhanced peanut paste costs just 25p and doesn’t need to be cooked or prepared before consumption, making it a practical solution where cooking facilities and fuel are limited.
How you can help
You can also make a one-off donation or pledge a monthly gift directly to Unicef. Your donation will be used to protect a child in danger. For example, just £23 could provide a month’s supply of high-energy peanut paste to help bring a severely malnourished child back to health.
Business Healthcare and Corporate Healthcare plans need to include Vitality Plus to be eligible for this reward.
