We offer a unique brand of health and life insurance. We’re part of Discovery Holdings. This is a worldwide group protecting over seven million members in 19 countries. This includes Europe, the United States, Australia, South Africa, Canada and China. We have three UK sites: London, Bournemouth and Stockport, with over 1,800 staff.

There’s no other insurance provider quite like Vitality. We have a core purpose to make people healthier, to enhance and protect their lives. We put this into practice through our shared value business model. This is based on behavioural economics.

This enables you to take a more active role in your own physical and mental wellness. It encourages the development of healthy long-term habits.

What are we looking for in a supplier?

To support our vision of being the best insurer in the UK, we look for suppliers who can show:

Cultural fit

We pride ourselves in being positively different. This makes it vital that our business and yours work together.

Compliance

We have high ethical standards and are accountable to the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority).

Excellence

We aim to provide excellent service right through the supply chain. This is why we deliver the highest quality to our members.

Added value

Suppliers should identify and introduce process improvements. We also expect cost-effective sustainable solutions wherever possible.

Expertise & industry knowledge

Suppliers should be industry experts and provide us with advice and support.

Innovation and improvement

Suppliers should challenge our processes and look for a better way of working.

Responsible and positive

We expect our suppliers to act with integrity at all times.

Rewarding our suppliers

From humble beginnings in 2017, we have held an annual Supplier & Partner Awards ceremony, to recognise and reward those who have gone and above beyond our expectations to help us achieve our corporate goals.

We issue awards in a variety of categories and use the opportunity to spread the word of Vitality’s vision and values, to ensure our suppliers and partners align with us to deliver more for our Members. Our recent event in 2024 was the biggest and best yet, and we are pleased at the tremendous feedback we have received.

See what our winners have to say:

“We were delighted to be awarded the “Most Innovative Supplier of the Year” award by Vitality. The Integrated Primary Care project was the biggest undertaking Livi and Vitality have collaborated on and delivered. Since its roll out, it’s been great to see how the new service is improving the day-to-day member experience and speeding up access to care. Both Vitality and Livi share common objectives and this type of partnership sets both companies up for further growth and innovation over the coming years.”

Laura Scanlan, Head of Commercial (Private), Livi

“What an evening! When we were ‘highly commended’ twice, we thought we’d blown it. So we were completely blown away when our name was read out as Supplier of the Year. It was a great way to celebrate 9 years of an ever-evolving working relationship, and a testament to Vitality’s dedication to optimising existing supplier relationships over the high drama of endless competitive tenders. It’s particularly satisfying to win following a year which saw our biggest challenge since launching the brand back in ‘14/15. We were asked for a step change, and we’re proud to have delivered Stanley 2.0. But this is just a moment in time - and one to remember - but now’s the time to keep the metaphorical foot down.”

Oliver Lewis-Barclay, Managing Partner at SNAP LDN
