Caffè Nero FAQs

To be eligible for a weekly handcrafted drink or innocent smoothie and discounted food, you must have one of the following plans: 

• Any personal health insurance plan
• Any business health insurance plan, excluding Vitality at Work and Essentials plans
• Any corporate healthcare plan or healthcare trust with Vitality Plus
• A VitalityLife product with Vitality Plus 
• Any Retirement Plan in drawdown with Vitality Plus
• Any car insurance plan.

To be eligible for 50% off a handcrafted weekly drink or innocent smoothie, you must have one of the following plans:   

• Vitality at Work Business, Vitality at Work Enterprise or Vitality Essentials
• A VitalityLife product with Vitality Select
• Invest: Select plan
• Corporate healthcare without Vitality Plus. 

To receive the reward, the principal member on the plan needs to complete their Health Review first. Other eligible members on the plan will only receive the reward if both they and the principal member have completed their Health Reviews.

Yes, to receive your Caffè Nero reward, you’ll need to download the Caffè Nero app and create an account. Once you have an account, come back to the Vitality Member Zone to link your accounts.

To continue to be eligible during each plan year, you need to update your Health Review in the Vitality Member Zone following your plan renewal date. If there is a principal member on the plan, they will need to complete their Health Review first. Other members on the plan will then be able to access the Benefit if their Health Review is complete.

You can get any sized hot or cold drink – including Speciality Drinks and Extras – handcrafted by a Caffè Nero barista. This includes drinks such as tea, coffee or hot chocolate. innocent smoothies are also included.

Drinks such as bottled water are excluded from the offer.

Once you’ve earned 12 Healthy Living activity points or 32 Good Driving points, between Monday and Sunday, you’ll be able to get 25% off selected food at Caffè Nero from Thursday the for the following seven days. This discount will last the whole week from the Thursday you receive the reward. Exactly the same as your drink reward.

To get your food discount, scan the QR code in your Caffè Nero wallet when you pay and your discount will be applied.

Link an eligible activity tracker to the Vitality Member app to start earning activity points. 

Pick up points by working out at a partner gym, joining a parkrun, walking, running, cycling or swimming by using a linked activity tracking device.

How to earn activity points

Once your drink has been added to your Caffè Nero wallet you need to redeem it within seven days. If you don’t, it will expire. The expiry date is shown on the voucher in the Caffè Nero app.

Once you’ve earned 12 Vitality activity points, between Monday and Sunday, you’ll be able to collect your drink from Thursday the following week. This is provided you’ve completed your Health Review, earned 12 Vitality activity points and linked your Caffè Nero account to Vitality by Sunday.

From then on, if you earn 12 activity points, your drink will be added to your Caffè Nero wallet each Thursday. We’ll send you an email to let you know you’ve earned a Caffè Nero reward – you can check we have the correct email address on the ‘My Details’ page.
