Workshops for better nutrition

They are interactive seminars designed to engage and inspire your employees to improve their health. With a combination of learning and participation, your employees can leave the workshop with new skills.

What the body needs

Information around diet, nutrition and health through media channels are often contradictory. How do we know what the body needs? This workshop demonstrates the role nutrition can play in our health and performance. It brings a perception of balance to our day-to-day nutrition. It can help you gain control and structure over food choices and what they mean to us.

You’ll leave with clarity and understanding on how to fuel yourself every day. You will learn to do this without depriving yourself of social interactions. While also avoiding eating chicken and broccoli out of takeaway boxes five times a day.

The booze busting action plan

Drinking has short term stress relieving effects and habit forming properties. It’s a pattern which is easy to slip into without even realising it. Alcohol could be taking its toll on your mood, your energy, your weight, your sleep and your skin. This is regardless of how healthy your eating or exercise habits are. Excessive drinking can also increase risks of serious health problems.

This workshop helps re-evaluate drinking habits. It will alsoprovide the tools to change them for the long term. Attendees will gain fact-based insights. They will also feel more empowered when it comes to shaping drinking habits.

Food for the mind

You’ve heard the saying ‘brain food,’ but have you considered how your diet affects your mind? This workshop provides practical solutions to those looking to boost their mood through food. This can also increase your productivity at work and at home.

Take our quick brain test: rate your mood, anxiety, stress resilience and concentration. Get to know your brain, what it’s made of and how it connects with the rest of you. Get a handle on the key brain-boosting nutrients to include daily. Leave with a simple, hassle-free work week meal plan. The workshop ends on a interactive note with a Zinc status taste test for all participants. Zinc is important for a healthy brain chemistry.

Much of this advice is confusing and conflicting. We are having to make choices with restricted time and budget being a big consideration too. There are many different reasons for poor sleep. Uncovering why and what you can do to correct it will pay lifelong dividends. Poor sleep affects mental and physical health, quality of life and safety.

Take the Sleep Sleuth test and identify your usual restless suspects. Learn the best ways to improve the quality of your sleep. Do this with shared recipes, meal, snack and lifestyle solutions. Get hands on and examine the sleep-inducing foods and products. Practise a foolproof way to relax and drop back to sleep. Build a personal sleep plan and leave with new sleepy habits.
