Vitality in sport
We love sport and its power to inspire healthier lives
We believe in the power of sport to help inspire people to live a healthy life, which is why we partner with leading sports figures, teams and events to help us share the Vitality message.
Getting active and staying healthy is at the heart of everything we do and sport exemplifies the role physical activity can play. After all, taking small steps today can dramatically improve wellbeing over the long-term, regardless of your current state of health.
There’s nothing like seeing your team live: those pre-game nerves, the roar of the crowd, that total adrenaline goal rush, the pure elation of a big win. That’s why we’re thrilled to be the Official Wellness Partner of elite Premier League clubs: Arsenal FC, Arsenal Women FC, AFC Bournemouth, Liverpool FC and Liverpool Ladies FC. We’re also immensely proud to sponsor Vitality Stadium, where AFC Bournemouth play.
To help share the love, we offer our members the chance to win a wide range of once-in-a-lifetime experiences, like VIP stadium tours, tickets to live matches and more.
Respect, pride and passion. The values our national rugby unions represent. The values we – and rugby fans everywhere – share wholeheartedly. That’s why we’re the Official Wellness Partner of England Rugby, Scottish Rugby and Welsh Rugby men and women.
This is what lets us give our members the chance to enjoy unforgettable matchday experiences.
A thoroughly British way to enjoy getting out and about in the summer, we’re delighted to be Official Partner of the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board). This also allows us to give our members frequent opportunities to watch England Cricket – and Vitality Ambassador, Joe Root – play in all formats of the game.
We’re thrilled to support netball at all levels, as it’s the perfect showcase for us to highlight our values and our commitment to the sport at both elite and local community levels. We are the Official Wellness Partner of the England Netball team, as well the title sponsor of the Vitality Netball Superleague and Vitality Netball International Series.
We are also committed to the grassroots of the sport, to help inspire, coach and provide access to women across England to participate in netball. With England Netball’s 96,000 affiliated members, as well as the fact that at least one million women and girls play netball every week, our aim is to help inspire, coach and provide access to women across England to participate in netball. In local communities, we are thrilled to partner with England Netball’s Back To Netball programme, which won the National Lottery Best Sports Project Award in 2012.
To help spark a lifelong love of sport in young people, we are the title sponsor of The Telegraph Vitality Junior Golf Championship. This fantastic event has helped launch the careers of some of the best British and Irish junior golfers, as well as worldwide stars like the multi-tournament-winning and reigning Olympic golf champion, Justin Rose. This year’s tournament – where over 25,000 amateur golfers under the age of 18 participate in qualifying rounds at 600+ golf clubs across the UK and Ireland – will reach its climax at the Final at the Quinta do Lago golf resort in Portugal's Algarve region.
We love running and want as many people as we can to feel the freedom and pleasure it brings – no matter your age, ability or distance.
That’s why we give our wholehearted support to the Vitality Westminster Mile, in partnership with the City of Westminster and the Vitality London 10,000. We’re also the headline sponsor of parkrun, the world’s biggest free running event, offering timed 5k runs every Saturday in a park near you.
Whether you’re new to the sport, a regular racer or just fancy trying a new fitness challenge, why not come along and get involved?
Local community partners
To inspire and coach people in the Bournemouth area, we’ve teamed up with AFC Bournemouth and its players to work with the Community Sports Trust, the club’s charitable arm. Focusing on four main themes - Sports Participation, Health and Wellbeing, Education and Sports Inclusion – the Trust helps thousands of people in the Bournemouth area every year, with a wide variety of football and multi-sport sessions to kids and adults.
Women in sport
We’re particularly committed to developing and maintaining the long-term growth of women in sport. We partner with women’s teams in top-flight football, rugby and netball, as well as community-based women’s sports initiatives and we’re always looking for new areas to extend our whole-hearted backing. We’re the Official Wellness Partner of the England Netball Team, Arsenal Women FC, Liverpool Ladies FC, and rugby unions England Women, Scotland Women and Wales Women.
So it’s a privilege to be involved in the Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards in association with Vitality, where we can recognise individual and team achievements, at national and local level.
We actively support hockey at all levels. We are the Official Wellness Partner of both men’s and women’s teams for England Hockey, as well as Back To Hockey – a community initiative of over 200 local clubs.
By encouraging more people at grassroots level to enjoy the many physical and mental benefits that being part of a team can bring, our aim is to help the sport continue to grow.
To underline our commitment at elite level, we’re also extremely proud to be the title sponsor of the 2018 Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup. To mark this momentous sporting event, we’re offering our members regular chances to win once-in-a-lifetime hockey experiences, tickets to the sold-out event and more.
