Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson joins Vitality as Ambassador
The newly crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year joins seven other female Ambassadors, including Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill and Ellie Simmonds
Vitality is proud to welcome Olympic 800m gold medallist, Keely Hodgkinson, to its line-up of Ambassadors.
The 22-year-old becomes Vitality’s youngest Ambassador and joins a fellow legend in her sport Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill – who was named Vitality’s first-ever Ambassador in 2012.
She also sits alongside six other female Ambassadors: Heather Knight, Tracey Neville, Ellie Simmonds, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Sophia Dunkley and Isa Guha, as well as broadcaster Gabby Logan, a representative of Vitality.
Speaking exclusively to Vitality about her new partnership, Hodgkinson said: “The Vitality Ambassadors are all such amazing athletes, so it’s amazing to join that line-up and seeing myself alongside them is a really nice feeling.”
Hodgkinson’s passion for running makes her a natural spokesperson for the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, something that she wants to do more of in her role as a Vitality Ambassador.
“I am all for getting people active and giving people access to the right information on how to be healthy; letting people know that they should start doing weights when they’re young, for example,” she told Vitality.
“That’s what I really stand for, I think it’s really important for people to understand how much being active and healthy can change people’s lives.”
