Keeping your motivation up while training can be tough.

Some days, lacing up your trainers feels effortless and the kilometres fly by.

On others, the sofa calls louder than the running track and finding that spark to get moving can feel almost impossible.

Yet, it’s in these tougher moments that true resilience is built and where real progress can be made.

Every session you complete, even when it feels like the hardest, is shaping your physical fitness and your mindset.

This week, Vitality Ambassador Jessica Ennis-Hill joins forces with the inspiring London-based running community Black Girls Do Run to explore the highs and lows of running and staying motivated through it all.

From leaning on the energy of others to focusing on small, achievable goals, they reveal how the combination of community and mindset can help you keep moving forward – even when the weather says otherwise.

But, as Jess and the Black Girls Do Run crew share, consistency isn’t built on willpower alone.

It comes from embracing support, celebrating wins (big or small) and reframing challenges as opportunities.

Each time you step out the door on a day you didn’t feel like it, you’re strengthening more than your legs, you’re building resilience.

Those moments of persistence are where you uncover what you’re truly capable of.

So, as you step into week four, channel a positive mindset and acknowledge the wins – big or small!
