Simon Jacobs joins as Life Underwriting Service Director
Vitality has announced that it has appointed Simon Jacobs as the Life Underwriting Service Director. In his role, Simon Jacobs will be responsible for steering the Life operational underwriting strategy across the UK and South Africa, including the day-to-day management of the adviser servicing function.
The newly created role will drive the business’s servicing strategy forward, including the delivery of a new life underwriting and servicing system. Simon will also lead Vitality’s quote to cover strategy, looking at the ease of doing business, and will report into Lara Fascione, Group Adviser Operations Director.
Jacobs brings with him extensive experience in the protection industry. Prior to his role at Vitality, he held positions at UnderwriteMe and Aegon where he was Underwriting and Claims Director for the UK. Prior to this he has held underwriting management and leadership positions and has also worked in reinsurance.
