Here are a few of the questions we’ve answered for our members

Can I receive cancer treatment at home?

We cover the use of eligible home chemotherapy, such as tablets, injections and infusions, as well as biological and bisphosphonate therapies. To give you more choice you can also be treated at home at any point during your care as long as your consultant agrees – for example, you can start treatment in hospital and decide to go home, or vice versa.

Do you provide cover for all types of cancer?

Yes. We also provide cover for primary and any secondary cancers, if your cancer spreads during treatment.

My family has a history of cancer - will that affect my premiums?

No, we don’t take family history into account when offering cover.

What if my cancer can't be treated?

If your cancer is no longer treatable, we pay for home nursing care to relieve your symptoms, including pain relief at the end stage, up to a maximum of £1,000 a day for 14 days.
