Extended Cancer Cover
Covering the costs of treatment
Extended Cancer Cover pays all eligible costs associated with the condition once diagnosed, without putting limits on the use of biological, hormone or bisphosphonate therapies.
This means that if you're diagnosed with cancer we cover your in-patient and out-patient costs in full. This includes:

|Mastectomy bras and prostheses||Up to £200 per claim|
If your cancer is no longer treatable, we pay for you to have home nursing care that can relieve your symptoms, including pain relief at the end stage, up to a maximum of £1,000 a day for 14 days.
Our Cancer Cover option
Alternatively, you can opt for our Cancer Cover option, which applies a 12-month limit on the use of biological therapies and a 3-month limit on hormone or bisphosphonate therapy when prescribed on their own. This will also reduce your premium.
Frequently asked questions
Do you cover cancer drugs that haven't yet been approved by NICE?
However, we don't cover the use of drugs outside the terms of their licence; or experimental drugs with no evidence of effectiveness; or any treatment not considered clinically appropriate in the UK.
