Vitality launches clinically backed digital health tools for members

Vitality announces range of offers and discounts on clinically backed digital health tools for members  

Tuesday 16 November – Vitality has today announced a range of offers and discounts across a new suite of clinically backed digital health tools that will help empower members to self-manage symptoms of a number of common health conditions¹.  

This is the latest enhancement to Vitality’s health insurance proposition which aims to empower members to take control at every stage of their health journey - through prevention, digital care support, and comprehensive cover for onward treatment should they need it. In addition to supporting members to manage their care more easily, this new suite of tools will enable members to learn more about their conditions through educational content on helping to control or prevent common health conditions. 

Vitality has selected partners to provide tools and devices that cover a broad range of conditions and medical areas including heart health, cancer, diabetes, paediatrics, mental health, musculoskeletal conditions, respiratory conditions and gastrointestinal conditions:  

My Online Therapy: for access to a range of on-demand guided therapy courses for mental health, written by psychologists 
my mhealth: a personalised digital platform to help improve symptoms of asthma, COPD, diabetes, heart disease, or for people preparing for surgery. 
AliveCor: to provide KardiaMobile electrocardiogram (ECG) devices with KardiaCare membership for capturing a medical-grade ECG on a smartphone in 30 seconds. 
Zemedy: for IBS management for access to a personalised digital care course based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), with 24/7 coach support, symptom tracking and fast symptom relief exercises. 
The Sound Doctor: for bitesize video courses to help manage many common conditions including diabetes, dementia, back pain, COPD and heart failure, as well as support on weight management, mental health and improving sleep quality. 
Beurer: for home healthcare devices including thermometers, blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, blood glucose monitors, nebulisers and TENS/EMS therapy units.  

The tools will be available to members with a VitalityHealth plan² and easily accessible via the Vitality Member Zone. In addition, Vitality’s GPs on the Vitality GP app have received training on the new tools and will be able to signpost members to them.
