Vitality Launches New Employee Engagement Tool

Vitality has today launched a new dedicated Vitality Champions Hub, providing a central location for the latest news and health & wellbeing expertise for businesses looking to encourage a healthy workforce. This includes exclusive workshops and content from Vitality’s Performance Champions – experts in the sporting, health and wellbeing fields.

The Vitality Champions programme, which began in 2017, is made up of like-minded health and wellness enthusiasts across hundreds of workplaces in the UK. Their role is to help motivate colleagues to look after their health and wellbeing and engage them in the Vitality Programme, which rewards individuals for healthy lifestyle choices.

The programme is available for Vitality clients with ten or more member employees and is a beneficial tool for employers looking to encourage staff to live happier and healthier lives. Organisations with Champions then have access to a range of benefits, including expert health and wellness advice and content and workshops with Performance Champions,  whose role is to motivate employees to be the best version of themselves.

The Performance Champions include Olympic Games gold medal winner, Crista Cullen, double Olympian and World Champion in Modern Pentathlon, Samantha Murray and World Champion Paracanoe Athlete, Emma Wiggs.

By offering a unique set of rewards and benefits, such as the Champions programme, Vitality is ensuring it is engaging with its full member base demographic and revealing the transformative value generated through these rewards. In fact, Vitality data reveals that it is ten times* more engaging than comparative health and wellbeing programmes. Vitality members are also 40% more likely to make positive lifestyle changes over the course of the year than non-members*.

Maggie Alphonsi, Vitality Champions Programme Director commented: “We know how important workplace wellbeing is for employers, so we’re keen to make our members aware of the benefits they have access to as businesses, including our Champions Programme. The programme is proven to encourage employee engagement and therefore healthy lifestyle changes, which in turn can improve productivity within the workplace. We’re delighted to launch the new Hub, showcasing all the resources businesses and employees can benefit from in one place.”
