Frequently asked questions
How do I find my nearest parkrun?
How do I register?
How many Vitality points can I earn for parkrun?
You’ll earn eight activity points each time you run which count towards Active Rewards if your plan is eligible for Active Rewards. Volunteering at a parkrun is not part of the Active Rewards scheme, so if you volunteer at a parkrun you can earn 5 points that don’t count towards your Active Rewards, in addition to your 8 activity points for taking part in a parkrun that do count towards it. You're able to earn 40 points a week for getting active so if you've already reached your weekly points limit and you complete a parkrun, you won't receive any points for that run.
How do I volunteer?
If I take part in a parkrun and track my activity with a fitness device or mobile app will I earn Vitality points for both?
No, you can earn a maximum of 8 Vitality activity points per day and up to 40 Vitality activity points per week. We’ll award points for only one exercise activity per day, so if you do more than one activity in a day you’ll receive points for the one which earns the most. Visiting a Vitality partner gym and volunteering at a parkrun are two different exceptions which you can do in addition to exercise. If your plan is eligible for Active Rewards, then points for attending a Vitality partner gym will count towards Active Rewards, so you could earn 5 Vitality activity points for attending a Vitality partner gym and then 3 activity points for tracking another activity, such as running on the treadmill to get your 8 activity points for the day that count towards your Active Rewards. Volunteering at a parkrun is not part of the Active Rewards scheme, so if you volunteer at a parkrun you can earn 5 points that don’t count towards your Active Rewards, in addition to your 8 Vitality activity points for taking part in a parkrun that do count towards it.
Where can I find my results?
* Based on attending parkrun every week for one year.
** parkrun is included on all VitalityHealth, VitalityLife, and Vitality at Work plans. Available on VitalityInvest plans with Vitality Core included. If you have a VitalityInvest Retirement plan in drawdown, you’ll need to add Vitality Plus at £4.50 per month.
