How do I earn Vitality points?
Live healthily and be rewarded
Vitality makes it cheaper and easier to get healthy through discounts and motivating rewards. Here’s how it can help you:
Vitality points are subject to daily and weekly limits. You can earn a maximum of 8 Vitality activity points per day and up to 40 Vitality activity points per week.
We’ll award points for only one exercise activity per day using an activity tracker, so if you do more than one activity in a day, you’ll only receive points for the one that earns the most points.
Example:
Stanley walks 7,000 steps in the morning, which is enough to earn 3 Vitality activity points towards his Active Rewards. In the afternoon, Stanley rides a bike continuously for 30 minutes at 60% of his age-related maximum heart rate, which would earn him 5 Vitality activity points. As Vitality activity points are awarded for only one activity per day, Stanley receives 5 Vitality activity points for the day from riding the bike.
There are two activities where Vitality points work differently:
Attending a Vitality partner gym
If you attend a Vitality partner gym, you’ll earn activity points that count towards your Active Rewards in addition to tracking an activity. So you could earn 5 Vitality activity points for attending a Vitality partner gym and then 3 activity points for tracking another activity, such as running on the treadmill to get your maximum of 8 activity points for the day.
Volunteering at a parkrun
Volunteering at a parkrun is not part of the Active Rewards scheme, so if you volunteer at a parkrun, you’ll earn 5 points, but they won’t count towards your Active Rewards.
If you take part in a parkrun, you’ll earn 8 Vitality activity points that count towards your Active Rewards.
If you run and volunteer at the parkrun, you’ll be awarded 8 Vitality activity points for taking part in the parkrun, which will count towards your Active Rewards, and 5 points for volunteering, which won’t count towards your Active Rewards.
