How do I connect The Mindfulness App to Vitality on an iPhone?

Step 1: Connect The Mindfulness App to Apple Health

  1. Download The Mindfulness App
  2. The first time you open it, swipe through the 'get started' pages and tap 'connect to Apple Health'
  3. Apple Health will ask to receive your mindful minutes data from the app. Tap ‘turn all categories on’ or ‘allow’

You need iOS 10 or above to be able to record your mindful minutes in Apple Health.

Step 2: Connect Apple Health to Vitality

(Please note: If you use more than one mindfulness app, you will only need to do this step once) 

  1. Open the Vitality Member app, select your app from the 'Rewards' section
  2. Select 'Connect to Apple Health'
  3. Turn on 'Mindful Minutes' and other categories if desired

Complete 10 or more minutes of mindful activity to earn two Vitality points a day, up to a maximum of six Vitality points a week.

How do I connect The Mindfulness App to Vitality on Android?

Step 1: Connect The Mindfulness App to Google Fit

  1. Download The Mindfulness App
  2. The first time you open it, swipe through the 'get started' pages and select 'connect to Google fit'
  3. Select (or add) your Google account and ‘allow’ the permissions

Step 2: Connect Google Fit to Vitality

(Please note: If you use more than one mindfulness app, you will only need to do this step once) 

  1. Open the Vitality Member app, a prompt will pop up requesting access to Google Fit
  2. Select (or add) your Google account and 'allow' permissions

Complete 10 or more minutes of mindful activity to earn two Vitality points a day, up to a maximum of six Vitality points a week.

You can earn Vitality points for completing 10 mindful minutes a day, using one of our eligible apps. This includes guided meditations, breathing exercises and sleep stories. You can earn two Vitality points a day for completing 10 mindful minutes, up to a maximum of six Vitality points a week.
Yes, you can use any of our partner apps – Headspace, Buddhify, Calm and The Mindfulness App. Mindful minutes are calculated on a daily basis and can be made up of multiple activities across multiple apps in a 24 hour period. This means that you’ll still earn two Vitality points if you complete five mindful minutes on one app and five mindful minutes on a different app in the same 24 hour period. If you use multiple apps, the limit of two Vitality points a day, up to a maximum of six Vitality points a week, still applies.

You can see them on your Vitality points statement. They won’t show on the home screen of the Vitality Member app as they don’t count towards Active Rewards if your plan is eligible.

In The Mindfulness App, tap ‘Profile’ then ‘Settings’ and turn on Apple Health.

Android:

In The Mindfulness App tap ‘Profile’ then ‘Settings’, tap ‘Connect to Google Fit’, select (or add) your Google account and ‘allow’ permissions.

‘Mindful minutes’ are the time spent listening to a guided meditation, breathing exercises or sleep stories.
No you can only earn Vitality points for mindful minutes with Headspace, Buddhify, Calm, and The Mindfulness App.
